MacNativeGames
MacNativeGames is an independent native-runtime project focused mainly on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. It runs on Mac and Apple mobile devices and has early Apple Vision Pro support; it is not merely an nxnative GUI.

Requirements
- The supported target, game version and runtime differ by title. Read the project’s game matrix and device notes before downloading or building anything.
- Mac builds can reach the display’s native 4K resolution; Tears of the Kingdom 1.4.3 has an opt-in 5K mode. Its documented iOS path requires iOS / iPadOS 26 and iPhone 14 or newer.
Get started
- Read the project’s installation guide and check that your exact game version is supported.
- Use the recommended AI-assistant installation skill where available; the manual route has more prerequisites and a 20–40 minute build.
- Prepare the supported game files and keys as directed, choose the Mac or Apple mobile target, and build the runtime.
- Install and launch on the target device, then check resolution, controller input and frame timing against the project’s notes.
Usage & troubleshooting
- The project adapts ideas and components from nxnative but maintains its own runtime, scripts and optimisation work; support for a Zelda title does not imply support for the wider nxnative catalogue.
- Widescreen, high-resolution rendering and MetalFX are title- and build-dependent. Use the project’s documented switches instead of assuming every option applies everywhere.
- Manual installation is intentionally not reduced to an unverified one-command recipe here. Follow the project because its setup changes with each release.
